Hello all,

here's one of a series of 4 sonatas in one movement, i have written between the last week of October and the first two weeks of November 2004.

this one was an attempt to merge a kind of late baroque with some classical ideas, here it is recorded using a harpsichord sample and also a piano one, but with the one for piano sounds a bit different... so you all can listen to both versions in this page

here's the one with the harpsichord

Fantastic!
Agreed.

A fun and happy work with with a lot of energy. Great stuff! You seem to have full command of your instrument.  Grin

Hey Guglielmo,

Glad you see you made the trip over here. I've been meaning to scan you some of the obscure English music I have for keyboard from that time between baroque and classical in case you were still thinking to tackle some rococco-ish type music at some point.  Have you seen any music by Baldassarre Galuppi? Here's a link to one of his sonatas which  is very close to a style I could see you easily writing....

hey thanks!

but can you tell me how i can put a score in here? i cant find the thing to upload the score Sad

yeah i have seen something of galuppi... but not too much intensively, i have also many music of C.PH.E.Bach, which is really nice, but no scores for it yet... thanks for giving me that link Smiley

ah! another thing, i am starting a kind of baroquish piece, well starting... i started it like 3 years ago, it is on the same bass progression,  and with variation for the melody, and it is for 2 harpsychords. when i want to finish it, hehe i will post it Smiley

now i'm going to post the second sonata of this series i wrote in 2004, and when i get how to put a score, i will too... but i think the music is quite clear.

the only boring thing about this one sonata, is that it might sound too repetitive, but it was TOO boring to write a full recapitulation just to add embellishments and variations, you know?? too much Tongue

Right now we can't upload attachments to the forum, but if you could upload the pdf to a different site and link it here that would work.  Smiley

If you can't find somewhere to upload things to (check in the "support" area for jeremy's suggestions) you could also open up a simple site at a place like angelfire.com. I've got a site there and plenty of space to upload pdf's which can be linked to.

Though C.P.E. Bach is great, I don't think he'd be the guy to study to get a feel for baroque keyboard music, His music was well on its way to classical (even Beethoven) way before most of the other composers of the middle 18th century.

The following piece isn't  quite baroque either but it might be a nice midway style you might enjoy. Here is a link to one of the English guys I was talking about. This is by a fairly unknow composer named William Goodwin. This sonata/lesson is from c.1775.

Yeah, like I said, I didn't think this type of late baroque early classical would be a big stretch for you. Regarding uploading pdfs, I still think you should go to http://www.angelfire.lycos.com/ and just open up a basic site which has space for you to upload things. Then you just click on "view" of what you uploaded and get the address. Or another solution is to post stuff at YCF and just copy and paste the address from there to here.

Here's a test to see if it works:
