Love it. My comments for the previous one fully applicable here as well, except that it does have a more immediately recognizable theme. This one reminds me a little of Rameau more than Scarlatti, perhaps. (Not really important in any case, though.)

Wonderful music--enough said.

I also particularly like the Zenti copy it's being played on!

Thank you both very much!

I've actually started to write a concerto for 4 harpsichords and strings (Vivaldi/Bach, anyone?) upon his request. And they are going to perform it in the Fall! Can you believe it?!

Nice!

Will the rest of the orchestra be playing on baroque instruments too?

Yup! Michele has an excellent period group called "Brixia Musicalis" (see Youtube for some of their concerts. You'll see Michele in the back sporting a beard. The name of the lead violinist is Elisa Citterio, who studied with Chiara Banchini, amongst others). If everything goes the way is supposed to go (90% sure, according to Michele) they are going to play my pretentious concerto - together with some of the vastly inferior ones by Bach  Wink- as part of an annual Baroque music series in Modena, Italy (I think), with all the trimmings (great avenue, probably a church, a video recording, etc.). I couldn't be happier about this. Michele is even trying to push a lecture-like encounter with public and press, as well as trying to perform Grant's and Miguels' music also, in which case we should all start saving for a trip to Italy - I could even provide some of the accommodations through family and friends  Cheesy

I'm looking forward to hearing that. I can imagine it now with awesome runs, building passages, and glorious trilling sequences releasing the tension.  Cheesy
